About GreenMan Farm

As wildlife biologists and conservationists, we see the world changing faster than experts predicted.  Without a concerted effort to address climate change, we may all be facing a planet we don’t recognize.  Therefore, we established GreenMan Farm in 2018 to do our part in addressing climate change on a local level through ecologically sustainable agriculture and land stewardship. We strive to promote biological diversity on our farm and to use what we learn to educate others. We are particularly interested in providing an experience for people to visit the property to enjoy the Adirondacks while staying in one of our beautiful, rustic cabins. While we're still developing, we hope to expand further into education and community outreach.  It will not be easy to address many of the climate issues we currently face, but trying to tackle things on a local level, through manageable mitigation efforts, we hope that we can do our part, while giving people an opportunity to experience the beauty of Adirondacks for themselves.

Our Story

Tim and Janine are retired U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service wildlife biologists who spent their careers working on international wildlife issues. They bought a 617 acre property in the Adirondacks to fulfill their dream of living sustainably, growing food using restorative permaculture practices and learning about soil enrichment, water catchment, contour planting, forest farming, and a myriad of other new and ancient ways of protecting the earth while feeding and housing ourselves.  We are still learning and always will be! We enjoy meeting the guests at our AirBnBs and especially love the young people we've met who are ready to meet the challenges ahead.
